Decentralisation
Free your business from rising energy prices
Free your business from rising energy prices
With electricity prices forecast to rise by 56% by 2030, businesses need to look for an alternative source of electricity rather than traditional purchasing from the grid. Known as decentralised energy, businesses can now access electricity not from the grid through onsite generation from PV or CHP. Both offer significant long term reductions in energy costs and both can be implemented with zero CAPEX as the installation can be financed through the annual savings.
Decentralised energy allows business to free themselves from rising energy prices, realising savings of up to 38% net of project costs and deliver 100% Carbon Neutral Energy.
"It sounds too good to be true?", "If it is possible, then why aren't more businesses doing it?". These are reasonable questions to ask and the simple answers are that, more and more businesses are adopting a decentralised energy solution as the technology now makes it commercially viable for SME's to power their businesses through CHP's & PV solutions. PV technology now comes with 30 year warranties with guaranteed performance of 88% efficiency after 30 years.
PV
PV solutions allow business to free themselves from rising electricity costs, secure that they can generate electricity on site for 30+ years. Combined with battery storage, we deliver PV solutions that consistently deliver electricity which supports an environmentally driven vision for the business.
Using a modular system that can grow as the business does, it can negate the need for a very expensive additional supply from the grid.
PV is also a very public statement about the businesses commitment to the environment.
Our PV solutions can be traditional purchased or available on an operating lease basis, financed through the annual savings.
CHP
In simple terms CHP (Combined Heat & Power) is a gas powered engine that produces Electricity and Heat. This enables businesses to produce electricity onsite at 55% of the cost they can purchase it from suppliers through the grid. In addition the heat from the engine can be captured and utilised in heating or cooling, realising further savings on existing energy spending.
All CHP projects are guaranteed for 15 years under a fully maintained contract ensuring peace of mind and continuity of power generation. We also provide 100% carbon offset gas to power all CHP's which certifies the electricity generated is Carbon Neutral.
Our CHP projects can be installed through traditional purchase, operating lease or a fully financed model with guaranteed minimum saving of open market electricity prices.
Case study - Bottling / Brewery
The business was enjoying year on year growth, but was conscious of the rising energy costs. CHP was an ideal installation as they were able to utilise 100% of the heat generated from the CHP in their existing manufacturing process. With the addition of carbon offsetting for the remaining grid consumption and carbon offset gas, the business was able to achieve Zero Carbon Energy status whilst reducing their annual energy spend by 42.2%.
CHP Solution = 41.3% Energy Generation
Total Energy Spend Reduction = 42.2%
Payback = 2.09 years
Case study - National Sports Venue
The sporting venue had significantly increased their consumption over the past decade, breaching it's KVA 3 times in 2019. With the development of a new stand and impending increased demand, it was critical to address the immediate capacity issues, increasing consumption, costs and carbon. We undertook a holistic view in order to deliver a project that would not only address the immediate demands but future proof the venue in addition to adding to their sustainability strategy.
Solar Solution = 3.9% Energy Generation
CHP Solution = 70.1% Energy Generation
Optimisation Reduction = 5.6%
Total Energy Spend Reduction = 38.9%
Payback = 5.64 years
Case study - School
The school was looking to reduce their energy costs, move to a more sustainable solution and assist with the growing demand for energy onsite as the school continued to grow. PV was an ideal solution as they were about to re-roof their sports hall as part of a planned maintenance schedule, with an in-roof installation being adopted, they were able to save circa £24,000 on tiling costs.
Solar Solution = 31.5% Energy Generation
Total Energy Spend Reduction = £335,000
Payback = 5.92 years
